ChimeLong With Daddy

What is it about a day with Dad that suddenly makes kids act on their best behavior? When I have taken Avery to the amusement park it has been a trial. I've tried twice and both times she cried as we approached almost every ride, she wanted to be held the whole time, and she would not get on anything by herself.
So
Joe has a day off and we decide to go as a family and see how she does. She does great. It's not that she was never scared, there we a few rides she would not go on. But for the most part she was happy to sit on the rides and wave and smile like the big girl that she is. She wanted to run around and snack on the popcorn, she was good when strangers took her pictures, it was a totally new experience. Why do they save all these good days for Dad?
