So, as some of you know I have been completing an internship at
South Mountain Community College here in Phoenix. The college is a mile from my house and I actually took some classes there a couple of years ago. Wednesday was my last day for my internship. This is great and exciting news for several reasons, not the least of which is that the next day
there was a shooting on campus. On Thursday, two of
SMCC's students got into a fight and one of them had a gun on him. He
proceeded to shoot three people (all of them survived I believe) and then run home. He was caught later when his dad turned him in.
SCARY! If it had been one day earlier I would have been 50 yards from where it happened. The worst part of this all is that when I let my family know of the incident half of them implied, asked, or stated, that they thought I did it! My pregnancy hormones are NOT THAT BAD!

That was not my response in the least bit. It may have been though if my call center training hadn't kicked in. (1) Empathize. (2)Make sure that everyone is ok. (3) Asked how you, the caller, are feeling. PRICELESS!
Good thing you were NOT there that day! Freaky! We live in such a safe place, don't ya think? LOL!
That's crazy!! I'm sooo glad you weren't there! Even if you hadn't been hurt, I can't imagine witnessing something like that.
